On behalf of us at College Hills Honda and "Forget-Me-Not" Baskets, Inc., we would like to take a moment to update you on some exciting changes taking place with a spring community event that has become a Wooster staple. Starting this spring, The Wooster Wellness 5K and Kids 1 Mile Fun Run will welcome a new race director, Brian Polen of Vertical Runner--Wooster and director of the Akron Marathon, as well as an enthusiastic title sponsor in College Hills Honda. The Wooster Wellness Race takes place each year on Memorial Day weekend and is a tradition for hundreds of local runners, young and old, as they kick off their race season. In 2014, we plan to spend additional resources making sure that the Kids 1 Mile race is a HUGE success adding chip timing, race shirts, age group prizes, and more to ensure that we are both challenging kids and providing a venue for them to become healthy! Our goal is to continue the tradition and provide a “new look” to make the race even more enjoyable, while not
sacrificing the integrity that was established upon inception in 2007.
As mentioned, the charity this year is "Forget-Me-Not" Baskets, Inc. under the direction of Sara Ringle, Creston, OH. Their mission is to provide comfort and peace to families who have suffered a loss during pregnancy or child birth by preparing and distributing care baskets to show the grieving families support during their difficult time. They distribute these baskets to the local hospitals in Wayne, Holmes, and Ashland Counties and have delivered over 1300 baskets to date! Take a chance to learn more about their cause at www.fmnbaskets.com
